Agents seize $500k of marijuana in fake carrots
Border control officers stopped a tractor crossing into Texas and discovered more than a ton of marijuana concealed within a shipment of carrots in the vehicle's trailer.
A total of 2,817 carrot-shaped packages, complete with orange coloured wrapping, worth an estimated $499,000 were seized at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility in Texas.
Sniffer dogs were brought in after the vehicle was brought in for an imaging inspection, US Customs and Border Protection revealed (CBP).
