IGNORE UNAUTHORIZED NOTICES OF NATIONAL SERVICE EXTENSION

Accra, Ghana – Friday, May 12, 2017 –The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) is asking national service personnel and the general public to ignore unauthorized notices circulating on social media about national service extension and further asking interested national service personnel to apply on-line.

Management wishes to state unequivocally that there has neither been any such discussion nor decision to extend the period of national service this year.

For the avoidance of doubt, national service personnel would end their service on 31st August, 2017 and the new batch of personnel would start their service from Friday, 1st September, 2017.

Management therefore wishes to advise all national service personnel and the general public to be wary of faceless persons who may make financial demands on them for consideration for extension of service.
