South Africa Enters into Bilateral Visa Agreement With Ghana | Visa-free travels
South Africa and Ghana have entered into a bilateral visa agreement which will simplify travel and contact between both countries and is also intended to combat illegal immigration.
“I am pleased that this agreement is now finally coming into force. This is good news for people who visit either countries frequently for businesses,” Ghana’s Foreign Minister Hannah Tetteh commented.
Under the agreement, the procedures for traveling to either countries have been simplified. Ghanaians visiting South Africa or South Africans visiting Ghana no longer need visa to travel for a stay up to 90 days.
“This is an important step on the way to simpler border crossing procedures between Ghana and South Africa. We are continuing to work on making further improvements, in line with the goals we have set,” South Africa Foreign Minister told smithrise.com.
The general public has accepted this news with greater joy as much savings would be made on visa applications and documentations.
Tourism industry expert, Prince Turious Mensah describes this as “very necessary” to boast tourist arrivals and receipts between both countries.
