Armed Robbery: Koala employee, 2 other suspects remanded in custody

An Accra circuit court has remanded the three men arrested in connection with a robbery involving a worker of Koala.

The three which include a worker of Koala have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime.

According to the prosecutor in the case the three men with the robbers met a day before the robbery where they hatched the plan and went ahead to execute it.

The case has been adjourned to January 28, 2016.

Meanwhile the two robbers involved in the crime are said to be responding to treatment after they were knocked down by a taxi driver and are expected in court at the next adjourned date.

The three allegedly contracted some robbers to attack a staff of Koala who usually sends the company’s cash to the bank.

A taxi driver who witnessed the attack on the Koala staff crashed the robbers who were on motorbikes into the gutter leading to their arrest.

The taxi driver has subsequently been rewarded with a new car, house among other cash donations.
