Man sexually assaults daughter for four years

A 42-year-old father has been arrested for allegedly having sex with his 17-year-old daughter for four years.

The teenager is said to have resisted her father’s sexual assault on some occasions but the man is said to have used sleeping tablets to seduce her to have his way with her.

Briefing the Daily Graphic on the incident, Superintendent John F. Dzineku said the father, identified as Anthony Tamaklo, admitted having had sex with his daughter but blamed it on his wife, who was always busy with her business, and also on spiritual attack by his enemies.

After going through the ordeal for the period, the girl mustered courage last Sunday to report the matter to the police.

She is said to have shown to the police the abrasions that she had sustained from the sexual engagements with her father and sought refuge at the police station.

Tamaklo, who is a clearing agent at Elubo, according to the police, started his sexual assault on his daughter in 2013 when she relocated from Aflao to Elubo to live with him.

The victim told the police that the sexual assault began when her father asked her one day whether or not she had a boyfriend, to which she answered in the negative.

The father is alleged to have asked his daughter to lie supine for him to establish the veracity or otherwise of her claim that she had no boyfriend but ended up sexually assaulting her.

Since then, the abuse, according to the police, continued about three times a week until the victim could not bear it any longer.

The victim is said to have reported the matter to her mother, who was resident at Aflao and occasionally moved to Aflao, but that did not help matters.

She, therefore, decided to report the matter to the police when she could no longer bear her father’s uncontrolled sexual desires.
